Today I am sharing the week of June 23-29 in my Project Life album.
Still loving how I have switched things up this summer, different pocket pages/different sizes. It's made me really think about what I want to include in the smaller real estate space.
This week I really focused on my journaling. To be honest, it gets the back burner at times. I focus so much on getting the photos, found items, and embellishments that (unfortunately) journaling is sometimes an afterthought.
But really, it's truly what connects your photos with the stories. I had fun this week being artistic with journaling by using a sunburst journaling card (from Elle's Studios July 2014 kit) for my "stream of consciousness journaling-- want to add more of this in my albums). Honestly, when i look back to albums of the past, it's other peoples journaling (not necessarily the photos) that connects me with them.
Jordan had a big week this week by participating in the Indianapolis Christian Youth Theatre Camp-- oh and she LOVED it (not a surprise to us), but she pitched a FIT the week before about going. To HER surprise she LOVED it. Made my heart so happy. These photos (taken by my father in law) were from her Showcase that friday night.
I hope I've shared a few encouraging words with you about journaling--it's something I am truly going to be working on these months ahead as I work to bring that authenticity (and not JUST art) back into my albums.
