Just two weeks ago I celebrated the one year mark of beginning my own journey with Project Life.  Project Life has completely enriched my method of documentation and scrapbooking for my family.  So can I just say, I am SO excited for this class!!  I am really looking forward to learning new, different, and deeper ways to document the every day in our home.

I seriously can't wait to get started.

Class Description

Come join Becky Higgins for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend some time with her during the last quarter of 2012. As Becky goes about preparing for the holidays, organizing around her home and documenting her family's story along the way, she'll be sharing ideas to inspire you, tips to motivate you, and real-life suggestions on how to cultivate the life you want.

Whether you're a long-time Project Lifer or you're just now hearing about Project Life, you will love learning about the guilt-free philosophy behind this system of memory-keeping. While Becky will give you plenty to think about and do during the 12 weeks of this workshop, she firmly believes that there isn't a person that exists who "does it all" — and it should be the last thing that we expect from ourselves.

Becky's class includes:

● An exclusively-designed set of Project Life cards (3" x 4" and 4" x 6") that will not be available anywhere else!
● Access to a pre-classroom with a presentation from Becky upon registration for class
● Colorful instructional handouts with step-by-step instructions for each lesson/project
● Voice messages, slideshows and videos throughout class
● Three live chats with Becky
● Welcome notes from Becky in the classroom
● Reminder emails when the classroom is updated with new materials
● Message board to share your thoughts with your classmates
● Private posting gallery to share your work and view the work of your classmates

● Supply list with live links to product resources

More info from Becky can be found here.  Sign up for the class here.

So, are you ready to win a spot in this awesome class!?!?
To be entered a seat in Project Real Life, just leave a comment on this post by Sunday September 30th at midnight (EST).  I will post the winner Monday morning.  please be sure to leave your email so I can contact the winner!!

Spooky Tales works wonderful for Autumn/Fall AND Halloween.  And Be Merry line is perfect for Christmas layouts, cards, and December Daily.  And as a bonus, with both lines they've worked in a bunch of tags that are perfect for Project Life (YAY!).

Project Life: Week 35

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

This week's Project Life covers the week of August 27-September 2.

IMG_0446

I am still a few weeks behind due to our move and crazy summer, but I am not too worried.  I started working on a layout for the next week already!  Hopefully I can catch up a bit this week.

IMG_0443

I have noticed though that PL is easier to complete when it's closer to the date, so I am working to get back to my normal place.  (i typically work a week out, meaning I leave a full week between the post date and current date:)

IMG_0424

This week was our first full week of school!  A big transition time for sure.  Getting used to new routines-- especially the car line, and planning after school activities and snacks.  Back to school is a huge change!  I loved using Elle's Studio's Back to School printables this week.

The top photo of Jordan on her bike is one of my all time favorites of her.  I knew there was a big puddle coming up in our bike ride, so I ran ahead and waited while holding my iPhone over head.  it was a lucky shot, but I love that her bike pom poms are flying in the wind and there is a wake behind her training wheels.  Too fun.

I used stamps quite a bit this week--- which is something I am slowly learning to LOVE.  I am not a stamper, but I have to say, it's SO great for Project Life.  I love that i can use stamps for titles, embellishments, dates, and journaling spots.  Elle's Studio has some great stamps right now.

through the iPhone lens, we see bits and pieces of our lives.

who we are, what we do, what we like.

Untitled
we see that we love to dance.

that sometimes we have to stop everything and take a nap (even at daddy's office).

that we love to try new recipes (thanks Meghann for this one!)

Image 12
that we love bedtime stories (Magic Treehouse is his favorite)

Untitled
that she shoots it straight ("there's nothing worse than a b*tchy woman" -Grandma Conner).

thanks grandma.

Untitled
that I looked like this after my first session with my personal trainer.

we see that toothy bathtub grins are the best.

that it's heartwarming to watch the high school football coach teach kindergarteners and 1st graders the game.

and that if you ask for prayer, my husband will pray for you right then and there.

This life is so so good.  So thankful.

Have a lovely weekend!

IMG_0285

Last weekend was a big weekend for Jonah.  He said goodbye to the training wheels.

IMG_0297

We did not really ride bikes at all until mid August.  With the move, it was too crazy and we were completely focused on swimming this summer.

IMG_0287

So when the wheel on training wheel kept popping off, we decided... it was time.

IMG_0292

My sweet boy was REALLY wobbly on Saturday.

Many crashes.  Some frustration.  A few tears.  And lots of coaching from Daddy.

IMG_0315

And hey, sometimes you just need someone to SHOW you how to do it.  HA.

IMG_0319

IMG_0323

Nothing beats that grin.  Even though he crashed he was so proud of himself for going those few feet on two wheels.

IMG_0291

Oh don't worry, Jordan was there too to offer advice and help.

IMG_0329

Her moral support comes in the form of wearing a cowgirl hat, carrying an Easter basket and circling around her brother like you-know-what on wheels.

IMG_0274

See?  Intimidating much? ha!!!!

Jonah did SO great on Saturday but was frustrated that he wasn't riding on two wheels perfectly yet.  Todd gave him wise advice-- "you need to take a break buddy".

But how am I going to learn if I take a break!!?  Jonah asked.

"Trust me-- you will learn to ride your bike tonight while you are sleeping."

I wasn't quite sure about that response, and thought maybe it was todd's genius ploy for jonah to go to bed without arguing that night.

BUT, on Sunday afternoon Todd's advice was confirmed when our son bursted into the house with a huge grin on his face....

"MOMMY COME SEE!!!!   I LEARNED IN MY SLEEP!!!!"

Image

And sure enough.  He was riding a bike like he had been doing it for years.

He learned that night in his sleep just like his daddy said.   I don't know how that happened but it did.

(just had to share this video... seriously he could barely ride the day before and he hopped on the next day and was riding like this!  oh and don't worry, he didn't hit todd's car :)

Now we just need to work on mastering the breaks. :)
