This week's Project Life covers the week of October 1-6.  Hello October!

If you have been checking in on our Project Life post for awhile, you may know by now that I am always looking for ways to go beyond only documenting "what we did".   This week I explored a few more prompts as I went about sharing our week.   Here are a few prompts I touched on:

IMG_1155

Where did we go this week?
What did I make this week?
What did the kids learn this week?

IMG_1160

Who did we invite over this week?
What did my husband and I  or the kids pray about this week?
What meetings were scheduled this week?

IMG_1163
What games did we play this week?
What did we watch on TV this week?
Who did we call this week? (which seems like a highlight anyway since we live in a world of text now!).
IMG_1181

What were memorable quotes this week?
Did anything out of the ordinary happen this like (like a helicopter landing in your backyard, etc).

These are just a few different prompts to think about when putting together a Project Life spread.

The Elle's Studio exclusive and limited edition Christmas Stamp?

This is just an awesome stamp set.  The thing I love about it is that while it's very Christmas-y and festive, there are also stamps included here that I can use year- round.

I received my set this past weekend and put it to use in my Project Life spread that I will share tomorrow.  Here's a sneak peek of some of the stamps in action.

Project Life Week 39: Go with a theme

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

This week's Project Life covers the week of September 24-30.

I had a lot of fun putting this week together.  Some week's take a little more effort in the design processes and some weeks' seem to just fall together easily.  This was one of those weeks.

IMG_1119

Many photos this week unintentionally went along with a fall theme: a stop at the farmers market to pick up pumpkins, field trip to apple orchard, new (more fall-ish) highlights, carving apple dolls, football, and our first round raking leaves.

I decided to go with it and make this spread fall focused.  Not so much in color and design, but more on topic of what life was like this week.

Postal Pix is my iPhone app of choice when it comes to printing my Instagram photos.  Just recently Postal Pix began printing a 2x2 size (before 4x4 was the smallest size available to print).  Not only do I love this smaller size, but it also comes in a printed 6x6 collage.  For this insert I left the photos from a friend's birthday party in the collage.

I used a We R Memory keepers 6x6 pockets for the collage.  This photo pocket page comes as a 12x12 with four 6x6 pockets, I just trimmed one of the pockets.

This party we went to was an outdoor movie birthday party-- SO fun.  So I used an older pattern paper by October Afternoon that was a star pattern on the backside of the insert-- just perfect for representing this evening.

Our party favor from the party was a Grape Soda button--- the Ellie badge from the movie "Up" (which was the movie shown at the party).  I used this as the single embellishment with a Pennant from Elle's Studio's Sweet Life Pennants.

On the right side I shared a bit about Jordan's ballet class and Jonah's new found love for football (and the fact he BAWLS if the team he is rooting for loses!).   Also included a fun picture of Jordan as I was trimming her bangs.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to stop by Elle's Studio today to see my PL post (and giveaway).
