My friend Amy recently opened an Etsy site called Pearls of Peltier. I just saw it for the first time the other day and oh my goodness, i love this jewelry! All pieces are handmade by Amy, and she uses genuine freshwater pearls.

I think these Earrings are my favorite- called the Love Knot!

And i LOVE this necklace and earring combo!

And check these out:

I looove Etsy and i love buying jewelry and anything crafty that is home-made and supporting small businesses. If you read my blog and have an etsy site, please let me know in the comments so i can stop by!!

she has been loving on her doggy big time.

it is so sweet and precious to see her love on her buddy kinja.

Often times I will be walking past her bedroom and catch a glimpse of the two of them looking outside... waiting for daddy to get home from work.

Lately she has become a little mommy to her "baby"

She makes sure that her baby's thumb is in her mouth just like her.

And yesterday she started her first day of Mother's Day Out. No longer our Maybe Baby, she is our sweet precious little girl.

what did we do before online shopping? ... seriously!

i love the story todd and nikki tell of their mother who would frequently buy items from catalogues in the middle of the night. She would call herself the "Midnight Visa Queen". (this must be how our mom's shopped before the internet) HA!

i have been seriously shopping off of ebay these days for my little jordan (i have looked for jonah but it seems that boy clothing are not in good condition like girl clothing. hmmm...does that surprise you?:). so...... call me becky bloomwood. I have been purchasing clothing on ebay that are in Excellent Used Condition (EUC!!), and New Without Tags (NWOT!!), and have found many items that are apparently Very Hard to Find (VHTF!!) from mini boden, gymboree, and matilda jane. (yes i googled all these crazy acronyms at one point after about 10 minutes of trying to figure out what the heck NWOT could mean other than a horrible misspelling of NKOTB)

so i purchased 3 mini- boden 3/4 sleeve shirts for jordan for $9.00 total... (the apple one is my fave!)

and even recently got this sweet long sleeve Mini Boden shirt for $1.30...

SCORE! You have to REALLY be watching because these shirts can go for alot of money on ebay... even used! But it's fun to be on the hunt!

Oh and then there is Matilda Jane.

Seriously, this is my FAVORITE clothing line for little girls. So funky and hip. (but not really everyday clothes.. but OH so cute). I scored a knot Dress (worn once), and also a top (new without tags). Both majorly discounted from their retail price of $50+ . I got both at a fraction of the retail price!

So what about me??? I am currently eyeing this skirt from Boden:

and this sweater from Anthropologie:

Both which are most definitely NOT on sale. Sigh.....

So here is my question: do any of you purchase clothes for yourself or your kids on ebay- or am i just crazy here? I am slightly getting way too excited about all of this? there is just something fun about watching the bidding go down to the last second and winning! HA (ok, i am not REALLY that crazy about it- but it's just a teensy weensy fun to beat the other bidder in the last 10 seconds!).

And, secondly, who out there sells clothes on ebay? I think there could be alot of money made with all the baby clothes we have that are nice and are still in excellent condition (or never worn)- but is it worth all the hassle to post on ebay????

Hello Pre-school (& other random thoughts....)

Today was Jonah's first day of Preschool! AH! How can this be??? He has been going to mothers day out for the last 2 years, but this pre-school stuff seems so "official"! ha! he did so well and loves his teacher. and... i know you all are dying to know..... No accidents either! YAY!!!!!!!!!! (can you tell i was so worried he would do this on the first day!?) haha.

Here he is... totally ignoring me with the camera this morning, typical.

But so excited about the backpack.

He started getting REALLY excited in the car!

My sweet little boy. We went to Paradise Bakery after i picked him up to celebrate his first day of school. Daddy surprised him and showed up for lunch! the kids loved that! (and the cookies!). It's been a great day.

School starting makes me think of fall... so i have been in the fall mood this week. i picked up a few mums yesterday. i haven't done mums for a few years, but i am so happy with these colors that i picked up two more today!

Maybe these mums will motivate me to go out and do some yard work soon. A girl can only wish:)
I love these containers-- not even sure when we got them. I think Todd had these before we ever got married! I love the numbers on them. There is no hole in the bottom to drain water, so i can't really plant anything in them unless i stack another pot on top (i guess that's how it goes- i am not very good with plants:( so i have been trying to figure out HOW i can use them. Right how they are just sitting on our back deck. Which is fine for summer, but i want to enjoy them all year! Any ideas out there? I am wanting to re-do my bulkheads in the kitchen so i was thinking maybe using them up there... hmmmmmmmmmmm.

I just learned last week that one of my scrapbooking layouts will be published in scrapstreet.com magazine next month! YAY!!!! I am so excited!!! Having one of my layouts published was one of my new years resolutions this year so i am thrilled. It was posted on my blog a few days ago but i had to take it down since it is being published! Official business!!! hehee! I will FOR SURE post when you can take a look.

BUT until then... here is a new one i did of Jordan this week (i realize i have been doing alot of Jor pages, stay tuned for more Jonah ones soon!)

I used Lily Bee papers here and die cuts. I used circle punches with the LB paper to make the flowers. Punch, ink, then distress. i LOVE how it turned out! The Lily Bee French Couture line is soooo pretty!

Ok this is the most RANDOM post ever. guess it's better than not posting for three weeks :)
Now it's time to go clean this D.U.M.P. Happy 09-09-09!

WOW has it really been 3+ weeks since i posted on my blog? Yes it has- sad but true. So lets see... what has been happening at the Hufford House in the past few weeks? To Ketch- you- up, here we go........

1. This little man is now going to the potty all the time. I guess i could say that i was in potty prison for the last few weeks. Yes we still have some "fine tuning" left to do (like teaching jonah to not stick out his bum and hold it in public if he has to go) haha. and when do the treats stop? seriously. he expects an M&M after every time he potties... and would be seriously devestated if i took that little reward away. Maybe we should start buying stock in Hersheys. Jonah starts preschool next week. I am so excited for him- i know he is looking forward to . I am too but it feels really different that when he started mother's day out- almost like it's the start of the school whirlwind.

2. SHE turned 18 months last week. What a riot and crazy lady she has become. Just like her mama ;) She says all sorts of words these days... she even said "bless you" to todd after he sneezed this morning. She also is starting to say 2-3 word sentences (Where's daddy? Where's kinja? ) She is such a little mommy to her baby doll all of a sudden. It's so cute. She received this doll from my mom and dad last Christmas... the doll sucks her thumb just like Jor. She thinks it's great. They like to snuggle and suck their thumbs together. Jordan will start going to Mothers Day Out at the same preschool as Jonah . She will only go one day a week, but i KNOW she will love it. Last year when we would drop jonah off, she would dart in the room (as i was getting jonah's coat off, etc) and start coloring or playing with toys and would be mad that she couldn't stay. It will be fun to see her enjoy school!

3. Todd and I got to go on a wonderful date night a few weeks ago to Jimmy Buffett in concert! These tickets were my birthday present back in January! I was in HEAVEN. It made me want to go home and be a beach bum. ha! Just kidding. But his music is so fun and makes you feel like you are on vacation! We had pavillion seats and on the way inside Verizon it started POURING. Just added to the Buffett fun i guess. I was soaking wet- but i didn't care! Thanks hon for such a great night!
I have been working hard on some scrapping layouts and submitted a few here and there to see what happens. The following two were accepted in Making Memories top Customer Ideas. You can vote for them as your favorite here : )

And this one was added to the Lily Bee blog yesterday as one of their Friday Favorites! YAY! I love Lily Bee products- gorgeous papers! You can take a look at the blog post here!

ETA: eeek! i just found out this layout "so loved" will be published in ScrapStreet.com Magazine!! I had to remove my gallery and blog posts : ) So if you missed seeing it, you'll have to visit scrapstreet or head over to Lilly Bee's blog linked above!

Have a great holiday weekend everyone! I hope it's not 3 more weeks before i post again! ha!
