Here it is-- the requested belly shot. I will be 35 weeks on Friday. Hard to believe. I am so busy with a toddler every day that it hasn't REALLY sunk in that there will be a new little life in our home in a few short weeks. Wow... I am really excited but also a bit overwhelmed. Anyway, next week I go to my OB for my last routine ultrasound and all that other good stuff. I'll have more info then! Can't wait! If you would, please pray that our little girl's arrival will be a little less dramatic than her big brother's (and that mama won't be too anxious about it all) : )

Creative or Lazy?

All the Christmas decorations are packed away... well, sort of. I spent so much time putting the garland on my mantle, that i just wasn't up to the challenge of taking it down a few weeks ago. Plus, we enjoy the lights in the evening.

So.... A few weeks ago, I headed to Hobby Lobby with my 2 year old tornado and we picked out some 50 cent Valentine wood decorations. Hearts and cupids to be exact. Jonah loved holding them (and throwing them on the ground) while in the cart.

So we brought my .50 cent finds home and I glued some ribbon on the back.... removed the Christmas ornaments , and viola! I have a Valentine's Day mantle! So is this craftiness, or laziness??? I am not sure, but I promise to take it all down on February 15th and avoid the temptation to make an Easter Mantel!!!

I swore i would never be a scrapbooker... i just didn't have the time, energy, or patience to do all the "work" involved (after watching my mom scrapbook for years), but i guess i have caught the bug! Since Jonah's birth, I have been all about it! There must be something about having children that makes you want to preserve all the memories along the way! So, I have a new obsession.... which has led to a new spot just for me downstairs. (next to jonah's new room!) We are not finished yet with the install, but I just had to post what has been done so far. On the far left side, there will be a smaller desk for Jonah (and the new baby when she is older) to do crafts and other fun things. I like to call this my scrapbook center, but Todd always corrects me and tells me it's my desk. (i think he is worried that all i will do is scrapbook once it's finished!) haha.

Big Boy Room

Well, it's official. Jonah has moved downstairs to his "Big Boy" room and bed. Wow, i think this was more difficult for me than him. For a week i was trying to put him down in the bed at nap time, and as soon as he wimpered i put him in his crib! I am so weak! I think it's just hard for me to realize he is growing up. Yes, I know in a few short weeks I will have a new baby to put in the crib, but Jo will always be my baby too! Anyway, the weekend rolled around and Todd saved the day. He got jonah down for his nap no problemo, and he about gave me a panic attack when he declared it was cold turkey time... and jonah was going to sleep overnight downstairs. So far it's been almost a full week and he has done great. We put a babygate up in his doorway so he can't get out (our downstairs and storage room isn't exactly jonah-proofed!). Here are a few pics of him sleeping in his new room. I am not done decorating...... (who knows when i willl be "done"). I will post more pics later when the airplanes are up : )

(P.S. my mom and dad were laughing at all the pillows i put around him-- isn't that what I'm supposed to do!? There is no box spring on his bed so a guard rail can't go up, so i did pillows!)

Birthday Party

We had a fabulous little party for Jonah's second birthday last weekend. I guess i should say nothing's "little" when the Conner family is involved! We had family over last sunday night for dinner and cake. Jonah was in prime form opening gifts and playing with his cousins. It was a blast. Oh and, Thanks Mom and Dad for the sweet ride for Jonah's birthday! It's a gift we will all enjoy!

Happy Birthday!

Today is Jonah's second birthday! It's hard to believe he is already two... then again, I can't imagine life with out him. He is growing and changing everyday it seems. Learning new things and growing into a sweet, precious, and funny little boy.
