eye candy

it's time to show off a little eye candy! Jonah had his three year old session this summer with Carpenter Photography Design! We had planned to do it in the spring so that it was only a few months after his birthday (jan 5th) but we had to reschedule two different times due to weather, so this is more like his three AND A HALF b-day session. fine with me! hehe. We had an amazing day, and we were able to take pictures at Balmoral Golf Course in Fishers, IN. Here are a few pictures!

You should have seen Jonah the day of the session- GOOF BALL! He was running around the golf course with his eyes closed (we call it the Stevie Wonder) which we usually think is hilarious but not when you want good pictures! You would never ever know his eyes were closed MOST of the time after seeing these!

Like father, like son. Sometimes it's scary how much these two look alike!

This picture totally cracks me up. This is the exact face and gesture he makes when he wants something - usually candy or chocolate milk. "please mommy, can i have?"

It was great to have Daddy and Jor join us for the session- as you can see, we got alot of great combo pics with the kids and both todd and i. I usually just take Jor or Jonah to the session alone, so it was such a treat to get all these pictures!

After our pictures at the golf course we headed to papa and yaya's to get a few pictures outside, then... bath time!

Boy, did we have fun in the bath. Jonah continued on with his goofy self and had Melody and I cracking up.

He filled the tub to THE TOP, thus making it look like there was just a floating head in the tub. Gross analogy i know, but see???

Three year old boys aren't easy to Photograph but Melody did an amazing job- as always! Visit her website here for more info!

We love you Jonah James- you are such a joy and delight to our family!

Christmas in August?

Saturday, August 8, 2009

wow, it's about time for a post, huh?!? I have been a slacker blogger this summer! We have been busy and enjoying every minute of the summer... why does it always fly by so fast? We have had a cooler summer this year so it REALLY seems like it's gone by fast. Many kids are going back to school next week - hard to believe! I am thankful Jonah and Jordan don't start Pre-school and Mothers Day Out until the second week of September! : )

Last weekend we went to Holiday World! It was SO much fun! Holiday World is an adorable theme park located in Santa Claus, Indiana. It's very close to where my uncle and aunt live... so they came to spend the day with us on Sunday. It was so good to see Uncle Scott, Aunt Kathy, and Lindsey (we missed you Andy!). My mom and dad even drove down and joined us for the day. I have so many memories of going to Holiday World when i was little, so it was alot of fun to see our children enjoy it. The whole park is divided up into the Holidays- there is a Christmas section, Halloween, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, etc. So cute! It was SO FUN to see Santa and hear Christmas music in August!

They have a fun little kids area with rides the small children can enjoy. i have pictures of me on these very same rides (when i was little of course- ha!) So cute! Do you like how Jordan is sucking her thumb during the ride?

They have HUGE rollercoasters at the park. I rode one and really regretted it! I haven't ridden a rollercoaster since COLLEGE. wow- that's a long time. I probably won't be riding one anytime in the near future (which is sad because i have always love rollercoasters!) it just beat me up too much!

We ended the first day with playing in another kids area that was a playground with a splash park in the middle. I let them run in the water in the clothes -so refreshing on a hot day! I love this picture of my sweet Jor. Hard to believe she is 17 months!

Jonah worked SO hard an climbed all the way around the playground in the ropes "course". It was really high and really long! He concentrated so hard and was so brave. It's fun to see him try new things!

We stayed overnight in Jasper and the next day we met up with our friends the Carpenter's and enjoyed the park for a second day. HW has an amazing water park too! It was so fun! We all (ok at least the Hufford's:) got a little crispy from being in the sun all day at the water park! It was SO hot, the water felt wonderful. Jonah loved the wave pool!

Jordan and her little friend Claire had fun too! I think they almost look like twins in these bathing suits!

Hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying the last weeks of summer!
